About Derry Town House

Derry Town House is an Upper Main Street hotel and an important adult-period landmark in 1984–85. It serves as a central lodging and meeting point while remaining geographically distinct from the City Center and other civic buildings. Farther up Upper Main, Bassey Park lies across the street at a distance of about half a mile. The atlas uses the hotel to establish the transition from the downtown commercial blocks toward the park and canal district.

Why this pin is marked A

Named in the novel. The street or the site is named in the text; the exact lot is the atlas’s.

The hotel is marked A because Upper Main Street is named directly and the route to Bassey Park supplies both direction along the street and an approximate half-mile separation. The park’s position across the road adds a second spatial relationship. These clues anchor the hotel to a defined corridor, but they do not provide a street number, side of Upper Main at the hotel itself, exact route distance, parcel, or architectural dimensions. The plotted lot and building outline remain reconstructed.
