Place U6: Veronica Grogan storm drain

1958

A drain where Veronica is found. No secure street address was recovered. It is not equated with Georgie's drain.

About Veronica Grogan storm drain

The Veronica Grogan storm drain is the sewer opening where Veronica is found in 1958. It belongs to Derry’s extensive drainage system, but the account does not attach it to a street, waterway, neighbourhood or route. The atlas keeps it as a separate record because a generic drain cannot safely be identified with Georgie’s Witcham Street drain or any mapped Barrens cylinder. Its narrative identity is preserved even though it has no visible position on the plan.

Why this place has no pin

No location. The book doesn’t say where it is; no point on the map.

This site is marked U because the type of infrastructure alone cannot select a coordinate. Derry contains many drains and underground connections, and no spatial clue narrows this one to a particular branch. Merging it with a famous mapped drain would create a false certainty based only on similarity. The place therefore remains off map until an address or relationship is recovered, with no implication that its event or distinct identity is doubtful.
