About Bijou - historical vicinity
The Bijou is a downtown theater associated with the Bradley Gang massacre in 1929. Its marquee provides shelter and a firing position within the same compact scene as the junction, courthouse and Machen’s Sporting Goods. The theater stands farther up the street rather than directly at every action point. Derry later has an Aladdin Theater, but no source establishes that the two names belong to one building, so the atlas keeps the Bijou as a separate historical vicinity.
Why this pin is marked B
Inferred. Worked out from routes, distances and what stands next to it.
Level B reflects a strong event relationship without a complete address. The marquee must lie within effective range of the massacre junction and upstreet from part of the action, which constrains it to the central cluster. No named street side, block number or distance fixes the facade. The chosen point preserves sightlines among the documented landmarks, but the lot, building orientation and exact relationship to the later Aladdin remain inferred.
