Place 31: Secondhand Rose, Secondhand Clothes

1985; earlier Tracker annex

At the bottom of Up-Mile Hill, occupying the former Tracker Brothers' Annex. Bill finds Silver here. This is a different location from the Truck Depot and its ballfield.

About Secondhand Rose, Secondhand Clothes

Secondhand Rose, Secondhand Clothes is a 1985 shop occupying the former Tracker Brothers’ Annex at the bottom of Up-Mile Hill. The reused building links the adult town with an older industrial layer and is the place where Bill finds Silver again. This annex is a central-town property and must not be confused with the separate Tracker truck depot and ballfield near the Barrens. The atlas presents the shop as an adapted older building within the Kansas Street area.

Why this pin is marked A

Named in the novel. The street or the site is named in the text; the exact lot is the atlas’s.

The shop is marked A because the bottom of Up-Mile Hill and the reuse of the Tracker Brothers’ Annex are both explicit. Other route evidence places the annex beside the narrow passage leading toward the seminary and Kansas Street, strengthening the local network. These clues identify the correct former Tracker property but do not provide a street number, exact hill endpoint, storefront orientation, or measured footprint. The selected building lot is reconstructed while the distinction from the remote depot is preserved.
