About Kleen-Kloze Washateria
Kleen-Kloze Washateria is a laundromat where Main Street meets Cony Street, active in 1958 and closed by 1985. From nearby, the Canal can be seen two blocks farther along the route, tying the shop to Derry’s central street and waterway network. The children use the premises after events in the Barrens, so it also marks a return from the lowland to ordinary commercial life. The atlas retains it as a former storefront after closure.
Why this pin is marked A
Named in the novel. The street or the site is named in the text; the exact lot is the atlas’s.
Level A follows from the explicit Main–Cony corner and the two-block relationship to a view of the Canal. These anchors place the business securely in the reconstructed downtown grid. They do not specify which corner, the direction of the two blocks, the shop entrance or the dimensions of the premises. The selected building is therefore illustrative, while the named junction, central setting and status as a closed former site are well supported.
