About Tracker Brothers' Truck Depot
Tracker Brothers’ Truck Depot is a working commercial yard on Kansas Street, encountered after Kossuth Street on the way toward downtown. Its street frontage belongs to the built city, but the rear lot slopes down toward the Barrens, making the depot part of the sharp transition between warehouses and river lowland. By 1985 the premises are derelict. This is the Kansas Street depot, kept separate from the Tracker property described elsewhere in central Derry.
Why this pin is marked A
Named in the novel. The street or the site is named in the text; the exact lot is the atlas’s.
The depot is level A because its Kansas Street frontage, order beyond Kossuth and downhill relationship to the Barrens are all supported by the route description. Together they identify a stable stretch of street and distinguish this site from the downtown Tracker annex. The atlas still chooses the exact lot, street setback and shape of the rear yard. Its building footprint is illustrative, but its position in the street sequence and its connection to the slope are well anchored.
