Place 62: Clements home / disappearance
1958At Kansas Street and Kossuth Lane. Kossuth descends about 400 m and ends abruptly at the Barrens. This junction is kept separate from the Kaspbrak home, which Eddie says was not here.
About Clements home / disappearance
The Clements house stands where Kansas Street meets Kossuth Lane in 1958. Kossuth descends from this residential corner for roughly a quarter mile before ending above the Barrens, so the home belongs to the built edge overlooking the lowland. The site is associated with Matthew Clements’s disappearance and should not be confused with the Kaspbrak household. Its importance on the atlas comes from the precise street relationship and the route down toward the Barrens.
Why this pin is marked A
Named in the novel. The street or the site is named in the text; the exact lot is the atlas’s.
Level A is justified because both streets and their corner are explicitly identified, while Kossuth’s downhill course and endpoint provide an additional check. Those facts anchor the correct junction strongly. They do not reveal which corner parcel the house occupied, its setback, orientation or footprint. The marker therefore represents the documented intersection and a plausible residential lot, not a surveyed address plan or a reconstruction of the building itself.
